ICI Bangkok – Cute Dessert Cafe with Starfish, Piggy Choux Pastry & Bear Hot Chocolate (Michelin Guide)

The Michelin-recommended dessert cafe, ICI, boasts an amazing collection of adorable, quality desserts.

The blueish entrance is easily recognisable. Housed in a two-storey bungalow, ICI exudes cosiness with the plush seats indoor as well as a relaxing alfresco. Besides cakes, there are also pastries like scones and financiers, and macarons sold here.

Highlights include the award-winning Starfish THB 450, Chilli Crab THB 450, 3 Little Pigs THB 295, Sweet Dream THB 225 (shaped like a cloud) and Sunshine THB 245 (a smiley-faced sun).

Menu

The 3 Little Pigs is a set of three strawberry mousse piggies sandwiched between crunchy choux pastry. It is so skilfully crafted, even the features of the pigs are quite detailed. Taste-wise, the mousse is light and not too sweet.

Meanwhile, the Starfish stole the show for its realistic replica right down to the texture. The inside comprises of coffee-vanilla mascarpone mousse and tangy sweet southern pineapple compote. Made to look like it is lying on an ocean bed, the starfish is flanked with ginger drops, and cashew nut praline crunchy base, ginger milk foam and coconut rum gel at the tips.The presentation is too beautiful to be eaten!
