Marc Jacobs Decadence Perfume – Fragrance Review

Impressions are always important when it comes to meeting your boyfriend aka future husband, your boss, your potential clients and even just your friends.

You don’t have to dress for the kill. Personally for me, it can be as simple as a smell; that perk-me-up fragrance which leaves a trail in the air wherever you go; that ‘oh-that-is-XXX whom we met the other day’. The smell goes to the brain. With the right one, you would have nailed it.

So, what is my secret weapon, or rather the one fragrance I use, especially when I have special events to attend?

Aptly named, it is called the Decadence!

I can’t express how much I love this Marc Jacobs perfume!

The Marc Jacobs Decadence was created in collaboration with Anne Buzantian and Ann Gottlieb in 2015.

At first glance, the Decadence appeals with its sophisticated look of an elegant purse, a golden chain and black tassel. Smooth and sleek on the touch, the perfume is for the discerning lady.

I adore how the Decadence radiates with an emerald glow; it is classy yet dreamy. The fragrance is luxurious, rich and whole with floral notes, orange blossom and bergamot. You get a whiff of champagne; a sensational caress on the skin and a confidence never before.

The Marc Jacobs Decadence Eau De Parfum comes in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml and is sold in local major retail stores.

On the whole, it simply smells really good at first test and I have never looked back.

The time when I bought my Decadence, I was gifted several testing packs to try.

The Daisy has a very refreshed and mind-opening fragrance that could easily warm myself up to those around me. Some would love this but it is probably not my top choice as it can get too girly for my liking.

The Forever is different from the Decadence given that the later exudes a classy and sexier side of the female while the Forever emits a next-door-girl vibe. The Forever is pleasant on the nose and will do good for daily uses.

The Oh, Lola is very fruity and lingering in the sense one or two puffs would leave a distinct fragrance on me. I thought it is best suited for a beach party, a quirky birthday celebration or for a girls’ night out.

My most favourited among the testing kit is this Honey. A well-balanced perfume, in my opinion, hitting the right notes of subtlety yet strong and sweet in character.

I am probably going to stick with the Decadence for a while now until I find the next better ones that catch my nose.
