禾甲蒸臭豆腐, Taipei – Spicy Stinky Tofu and Stewed Vegetables in Nanjichang Night Market
Opened since 2019, Ho Jia Steamed Tofu 禾甲蒸臭豆腐 is a popular vegetarian restaurant in Nanjichang Night Market 南機場夜市. Their signature stinky tofu and stewed vegetables are must-tries.
The Now Steamed Stinky Tofu 現蒸臭豆腐 NT $80 is available in six levels of spiciness from non-spicy to super spicy. The spice level for super spicy is manageable. Each bowl comes with two full pieces of firm tofu, topped with some greens, edamame, and sliced mushrooms. The broth is generous and quite flavourful.
The menu also offers a range of noodles like Tomato Noodles NT $80 and Vinegar Noodles (Small NT $45, Large NT $75) and side dishes such as Seaweed Soup NT $30 and Red Hot Chilli Dumplings NT $80.
The seasonal Stewed Vegetables 燙青菜 NT $45 of the day is written on a board at the cashier. It really stole the limelight! Portion is good and it is so tasty on its own.
