Old Seng Choong – Unique Mooncake Flavours you shouldn’t miss out this Mid-Autumn Festival!

This Mid-Autumn, Old Seng Choong is challenging our tastebuds with three innovative mooncake flavours. Proudly presenting the Black Truffle Red Lotus Paste with Bakwa, Bird Nest Pandan Gula Melaka and Hae Bee Hiam Red Lotus Paste, relish in the exquisite taste and flavour encased in their signature golden-brown baked skin.

Their two classic favourites, White Lotus Paste with Pumpkin Seeds and White Lotus Paste with Yolk Blend, also make a return this year.

These mooncakes will be available in two elegant teal and magenta boxes. A luxe version titled ‘The Black Edition’ for keepsake or gifting would be at an additional $10.

Black Truffle Red Lotus Paste with Bakwa 黑松露莲蓉肉干 ($88.80 for a box of eight minis) – A magnificent mooncake despite its mini size, this packs a punch with its smooth red lotus paste and chewy Bak Kwa bits enhanced with aromatic black truffle oil. An artful gold brushstroke completes its bold, charcoal baked skin.

Bird Nest Pandan Gula Melaka 班兰燕窝椰蓉 ($78.80 for a box of eight minis) – This luxurious jade green gem comprises the prized bird’s nest at its core, surrounded by fragrant white lotus, winter melon, pandan paste and coconut flakes.

Hae Bee Hiam Red Lotus Paste 虾米香红莲容 ($68.80 for a box of eight minis) – Combining dried shrimps, spices and red lotus paste, this pairing is inspired by the best-selling Hae Bee Hiam Nonya Heritage Cookie (of which I would gladly vouch for in a heartbeat). Bringing the savoury hae bee hiam into a mooncake adds a whole new level of profile. Something moreish, spicy and exhilarating.

Find these online and in-stores from 10 August 2021, while stocks last. From now till 29 August 2021, enjoy 20% off mooncake collections and 15% off selected Heritage cookies with any mooncake purchased.
