Tamoya Udon – New Black Garlic Tonkotsu Udon & Tonjiru Onsen Udon

With udon freshly made everyday, Tamoya Udon prided itself in the quality assurance given to each customer. Here, the Sanuki udon is hand-crafted from Tamoya Udon’s proprietary flour mixture (made from 3 different flour) and only with ingredients imported from Japan. Furthermore, there’s also no added preservatives in the dishes.

Located in a corner of Liang Court, Tamoya Udon has been around for as many years as I could remember, churning out piping hot udon bowls paired with crunchy tempuras across the table top.

Occasionally, new flavours are launched at Tamoya Udon, which is bound to get the regulars excited as well.

Starting 28th May, slurp on two new flavours – the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Udon $10.80 and Tonjiru Onsen Udon $10.20, also available in ramen version.

Lovers of the rich tonkotsu broth would adore the creamy taste of the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Udon, served with lots of bamboo shoots, chunky pork bellies and one half of a soft boiled egg.

The Tonjiru Onsen Udon, on the other hand, is lighter on the palate with a homemade red miso base. The curly strips of beef were tastefully sweet and tender.

As for the udon, they were firm yet soft and came in really long strands.
