The Dark Gallery at Millenia Walk – Discover Chocolates Darker Than Black

The Dark Gallery at Millenia Walk opens amidst anticipation. As a chocolate dessert and drinks cafe. this is bound to satisfy any chocolate lovers with its huge array of chocolate dessert platters, ice cream and signature chocolate drinks.

Occupying an open space area in the middle of Millenia Walk, The Dark Gallery is easily accessible from Promenade MRT and walkable distance from Suntec City and Marina Square.

Seats might be limited but that did not deter many customers who stopped by for dine in or take-away. Though we went on a Sunday late afternoon, the crowd was never-ending.

The menu is a straightforward one comprising of the various types of ice cream available, signature drinks, ice cream waffles, dessert platters, coffee and tea.

Some of their highlights include the Chocolate Cube Hazelnut LatteSingle Origin Dark Chocolate Ice Cream, Single Origin Chocolate Pastries and Chocolate Rhapsody.

Of course, not forgetting the chocolate ice cream of varying cacao content ranging from the Dulcey 32% White Chocolate to the Signature 80% Dark Chocolate.

Watch the full indulgence experience

We had the Double Scoops $8.50 in a Chocolate-dipped Waffle Bowl $1.

The Signature 80% Dark Chocolate was rich and intense, slightly sticky and bitter in taste.

The Venezuela 72% Single Origin Dark Chocolate (on top) was the ice cream, second strong in intensity. Still smooth and rich though with with more obvious taste of milkiness and creaminess.

If you are wondering whether it might be too overwhelming to have an all-chocolate dish, consider adding other flavours like Matcha, Red Velvet or even Chocolate Mint ice cream for an extra refreshing element.

For something more interesting and experimental, The S’mores $7.50 was torched on the surface, leaving a slightly charred exterior. Sliced open the pillowy soft and gooey marshmallow and you would find an 80% Dark Chocolate ice cream cube encase within.

For those with a sweet tooth, the marriage of the sweetness from the marshmallow with the dark chocolate would make it easier on the palette.

The Dark Gallery is indeed a promising cafe that specialises in Artisanal Chocolate and Single Origin Platters. Prices are quite reasonable and the quality of the dark chocolate is better than the usual run-off-the-mill ones. Moreover, selections are enough to keep you coming back for something different.

Note that they also have another outlet in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
