YOTEL Singapore Orchard Road – Affordable Quality Staycation in Town

Staycation is probably one of the closest travelling experience one can get in Singapore now with the travel restrictions.

And why I have chosen YOTEL for my two-day vacation is largely due to its price and location. I managed to snag a deal via Agoda at slightly over a hundred dollar per night, which I find rather affordable. Moreover, I love the convenient location of the hotel which makes it accessible to malls, museums and a late night movie at the cinema too. Also, reviews’ of the hotel are largely positive and the hotel is certified SG Clean (cleanliness is really important!) as well.

I checked into the Premium Queen room in January and was greeted by the view below.

The room is quite cosy and lit in hues of orange and purple. The iconic SmartBed occupies the center of the room and can easily switch between a couch to a flat bed at the touch of a button. The sheets and pillows are really fluffy that one can simply sink right into them.

Various basic necessities are also made available, such as hairdryer, iron, umbrella (very thoughtful indeed), refrigerator, complimentary tea and coffee sachets and water bottles.

The toilet is clean and spacious and comes with sufficient soap and shampoo that can last for days. It can be frustrating to squeeze from tiny tubes and trying to scrimp on shampoo as I have really long hair. Fortunately, YOTEL is able to put my mind at ease.

There’s a great number of TV channels to choose from, including MTV Asia, FOX, National Geographic and KBS World. Choices are great and kept me occupied throughout the night.

The stay came with two complimentary cocktails to be enjoyed at Komyuniti Bar. Explore choices like the signature Kompliment (a butterfly pea-infused gin cocktail) as well as a range of liquor-driven or frizzy-sweet boozes.

YOTEL’s corridor and entrance seems futuristic and high tech too.
