Auchentoshan Whisky Dinner at Porta, Park Hotel Clarke Quay

Park Hotel Clarke Quay has collaborated with Auchentoshan whiskies for a 3-course whisky dinner at Porta.

From 14 June (with Jamey Merkel’s appearance) to 15 and 16 June, savour Executive Chef Alex Phan’s curated plated dishes with a range of Glaswegian Scotch expressions helmed by Auchentoshan’s brand ambassador Jamey Merkel.

The 3-course whisky dinner is priced at $76++ per adult (with whisky pairing) or $58++ (without whisky pairing). Individual portions and Whisky Flight $50 are also available for sampling which features The Auchentoshan 12 Years Old, Three Wood and 18 Years Old.

The first course started with The Auchentoshan 12 Years Old Single Malt with hints of caramel and cacao. It is paired with the Smoked Trout, tender and savoury on its own. Accompanying the trout is the horseradish in cloud-like textures, a few squeezes of zesty Thai lime jelly and Granny Smith Apple slices on the side.

The second course moves to The Auchentoshan 18 Years Old Malt with notes of green tea, cedarwood, tobacco leaf and toasted almonds.

We had the Pigeon, just perfectly cooked till pinkness. It’s a little crispy on the edges while the meat remained juicy.

Dessert is a pairing between The Auchentoshan Three Wood Malt and a deconstructed Thyme Cookie that comes with spherical meringue and sweetened black berry, doused in aged balsamic.
