Bornga, JB City Square – Authentic Korean BBQ Restaurant for Grilled Meats and Banchan

Popular Korean BBQ chain, Bornga, has an outlet at JB City Square in Malaysia. It was quiet on a weekday night.

The restaurant uses actual charcoal for bbq.

For BBQ, there is a variety of meat cuts like beef, pork and chicken, in different marinates. There is a minimum order of two plates of meats for the BBQ. I had the Grilled Pork Belly in Soy Sauce RM 38 and Spicy RM38. It is served in two thick slices per potion.

The menu also offers Grilled Short Ribs Patties RM42, Stir-Fried Rice Cake with Seafood RM58, Steamed Eggs RM24, Kimchi Stew RM28 and Cold Buckwheat Noodle RM30, to name a few.

Portion for the banchan is generous. There is also more than enough vegetables for the bbq meats.

The staff grilled all the meats on the spot. The process was efficient and the meats were well-cooked and nicely arranged into serving plates.

I also had the Soft Tofu Stew RM28, comprising of soft tofu and assorted seafood like clams and mussels. Taste-wise, the stew could have been richer.
