Burger+ Korean Truffle Burger, Spicy Fried Chicken & Exclusive Tap Beer in Wisma Atria

Annyeonghaseyo~ If you’re a fan of anything Korean such as their food and songs, you will be equally stoked as I am to know that Korean-owned burger bistro, Burger+, has landed in Singapore! Serving up Korean-style burgers and authentic K.F.C. (Korean Fried Chicken) in their trendy space at Wisma Atria, I felt like I was instantly teleported to Korea, especially with the upbeat Korean pop songs playing in the background.

Burger+ prides itself in serving gourmet burgers. Close attention is paid to all details – from the fluffy burger buns made in-house daily using potato flour, special formulated B+ sauce (but trust me, taste-wise it’s A+), to top-grade ingredients like real truffle shavings and premium US-imported beef. You are guaranteed a GOOD burger here!

You can also enjoy a FREE Wooyu Jollypong ice cream with every purchase of a burger or signature fried chicken set! This promo is valid for the whole month of July in celebration of their opening so do head down soon to enjoy this good deal!

Riding on the truffle craze, Burger+ has taken it a notch higher with its Truffle Burger ($21). There is absolutely no slack cut on the high intensity of truffles packed in this burger with the addition of truffle puree, truffle mayonnaise and REAL wild truffle shavings.

The strong earthy flavours of truffle hit you mercilessly (in a good way) when you bite into the soft buttered buns sandwiching a juicy 130-gram beef patty topped with sautéed button mushrooms, crunchy baby romaine lettuce and seared onions.

If you are a truffle fan, this really is the real deal!

For a full-fledged Truffle experience, pair it with their Truffle Fries ($9.80/$12.80 for Reg/Large) which is loaded with cheddar and parmesan cheese amidst the truffle oil, truffle powder, truffle mayo and shredded black truffle.

If you’re someone who likes your burger bursting with flavours, you’ve got to try their Korean Bulgogi Burger ($13.80), which was my favourite of the lot!

The special Bulgogi glaze that coats the juicy beef patty really imparts a whole lot of savoury goodness to the meat, which worked wonders for my tastebuds. Paired with caramelised onions that retain a slight crunch and a double dose of creamy mayo, it was a perfect harmony of sweet and savoury.

The Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger ($17.20) will appeal to those who adore variety!

Think a slab of juicy beef patty, crispy bacon strips, a layer of aburi cheddar cheese, slices of creamy avocado, crisp romaine lettuce and juicy fresh tomatoes all sandwiched between fluffy buttered buns – are you drooling yet?

Non-beef eaters can go for their Fish Burger with Avocado ($10.90), where you get to enjoy a tender Dory fish fillet with lemon tartare sauce with some heart-healthy avocado – a classic that you can’t go wrong with.

Have you heard of the term “chi-maek”? Referring to the perfect pairing of K.F.C. and beer well-loved by Koreans, you just have to try it for yourself! Their chicken is never frozen and fried only upon order, ensuring a nice crispy exterior while retaining the tenderness and natural juices of the meats.

A sweet and tangy treat with a slight tinge of spice, Yangnyeom Fried Chicken is bound to be a crowd-pleaser. Those who love spicy food will be up for the challenge of their Hot Yangnyeom Chicken – kindly be warned of the immense heat that not everyone can handle!

The mouthwatering K.F.C is perfect for sharing with family and friends (Wingettes & Drumettes at $9.20/$17.20/$24.80 for 6/12/18pcs, Drumsticks at $10.80/$19.80/$29.80 for 3/6/9pcs and Mixed parts at $15.80/$28.20 for half/whole).

Wash down the spice with their Korean beers including the MiMi Tap Beer ($12.90 a pint), which comes in a light pink hue due to the use of red yeast. A Viennese craft lager that inherits its jade hue from Butterfly pea flower, the emerald Aurora Tap Beer ($12.90 a pint) is certainly eye-catching.

If you prefer to drink casually from a bottle, opt for their 777 ($8.80) with an ale-like aroma or Hong Kong Gal Rae? ($8.80).

Not a fan of alcohol or too young to drink? Fret not – there are indulgent milkshakes here too!

I really enjoyed their Avocado Honey Milkshake ($9.80), a luscious blend of premium vanilla ice cream and fresh avocadoes, without any added sugars! Their Hazelnut Milkshake ($7.80) leaned towards the sweet side for me, but those who love Ferrero Rocher will identify with this creamy drink.

Always down for a sweet treat to end of the meal? Their Wooyu Jollypong ($5.80) ice cream is simple and nice – smooth vanilla ice cream topped with crunchy puffed rice cereal.

All the above are at nett prices – yay to no GST & service charges!
