Hitokuchi Onigiri Cafe offers 14 different Onigiris & tasty Asari Clam Soup in Raffles Place

Newly opened Japanese cafe, Hitokuchi Onigiri, is the latest addition to the CBD food scene. The menu offers up to 14 signature onigiris, as well as taco rice, salads and sides to complete the meal.

The price of the onigiri ranges from $6.90 to $9.90. Each onigiri comes in seaweed-wrapped rice and is layered with lettuce, egg omelette, protein and its respective sauces. Choices include the classic Spam, crowd-favourite Miso Aburi Salmon, must-try Truffle Mayo Ikageso Karaage (fried squid tentacles), Teriyaki Chicken and Prawn Salad Onigiri.

For sides, the Asari Miso Soup $5.90 is slurp-worthy with generous amount of wakame and three pieces of juicy clam. There are also Truffle Fries (from $6.90), Tortilla Chip with Salsa and Avocado $7.90, Chicken Karaage (from $7.90) and Ebi Fry (from $6.90).

Aptly named Snow Angel (three pieces for $6.90), the mochis are unbelievably soft with smooth light filling of your choice of Mango, Strawberry or Matcha flavour.
