Shake Shack Suntec City – New Fried Shallots ShackMeister Burger & Matcha Concrete

Shake Shack has opened its fourth outlet today at Suntec City! As part of its opening special, Shake Shack is bringing in the award-winning ShackMeister Burger ($10.90 for Single; $14.40 for Double) for a limited time period, till 16 November 2020. Meanwhile, the ShackMeister Burger will be made available at the other three Shake Shack outlets from 5 October onwards.

I headed down at around 1:15PM and there was just a short fast-moving queue. The seating area is spacious and definitely doesn’t look as crammed as their outlet at Jewel, which is a refreshing sight.

Menu

Made with 100% Angus beef, the ShackMeister beef patty is topped with lots of crispy ale-marinated shallots and sandwiched between fluffy buns slathered in ShackSauce.

I really enjoy the crispy shallots, which makes the burger a little more exciting. Overall, it’s quite a sinful burger with the fried stuff and cheddar cheese that can be pretty salty. But, it’s a decent burger.

Nonetheless, I would still favour the Shack Stack $14.30 and ‘Shroom Burger $10.80 over this because the breaded mushroom is usually juicy and well-balanced with a lighter-tasting gooey muenster. I thought that the entire combination makes the burger experience more satisfying.

Meanwhile, another new item on the menu is the Matcha Made in Heaven ($7.50 for Single; $9.50 for Double). Think creamy vanilla custard blended with strawberry yuzu jam, shortbread and strawberries, while topped with lots of matcha powder. Not bad.

You might want to complete your meal with a ShackMeister Ale ($9.50 for 12oz: $13.50 for 16oz) too!
