The mooncakes are available as a gift set and in single pieces. This is a great option for those who prefer to pick their desired flavours and there are two-piece box and four-piece box to hold the selected mooncakes.

There are plenty of choices here, such as the signature Shanghai Golden Salted Egg Custard RM24.40, Mixed Nuts RM24.10, Moonlight Star (Black Sesame with Single Yolk) RM24.40 and Golden Jade (Less Sugar) RM21.70.

The Momoyama series comprise of the Momoyama Fruity Set RM128 (with six different fruit-infused mooncakes) and bigger individual ones (in four flavours – Charcoal Oolong with Wumeizi RM24.10, Pure Gula Melaka with Coconut Flakes RM24.10, Matcha with Red Bean Mochi RM24.10 and Red Yeast, Dates and Longan RM25.30).

Another highlight is the flaky yam/taro mooncake, available in Johor Bahru only.

Featuring the trio – Teochew Yam RM20.80, Teochew Yam with Yolk RM22 and Taro Muah Chee RM22.

I got the Taro Muah Chee and Momoyama Matcha with Red Bean Mochi in a two-piece box. The box is quite sweet-looking.

The Taro Muah Chee is decent, with chewy soft mochi in the centre, not-too-sweet taro paste and a purplish flaky crust.

The Momoyama mooncake might resemble a snowskin mooncake but it can be kept at room temperature and has a softer skin than the traditional baked mooncake.

The matcha flavour is prominent and like a typical mooncake, it has a sweetness to it.
