Let’s Yori! Korean Cooking Studio, OUE Downtown – Making Napa Cabbage Kimchi and Cucumber Kimchi

Fans of Korean cuisine may enjoy a series of fun and engaging cooking classes at Let’s Yori! Korean Cooking Class!

Let’s Yori! covers a range of Korean recipes, think Kimchi, Yangnyeom & Soy Sauce Fried Chicken, Soondubu Jigae, Tteokbokki, Ebiko Rice Ball and Seafood Pancake, to name a few.

Be it to learn about a new dish or to accompany your loved ones, you would definitely pick up some cooking tips along the way. Besides, classes are conducted by experienced instructors and all ingredients and necessary kitchen tools are provided in-house.

Each class is priced between $60-90 per pax. It is recommended to come in twos, otherwise you might be paired with someone else.

As a huge lover of kimchi, I joined the 1.5 hour class on Napa Cabbage Kimchi and Cucumber Kimchi $90.

A Korean staple, kimchi is widely consumed in the country alongside other main dishes. It also contains lots of health benefits.

Here are the recipes.

The cabbages are brined for 10 hours prior to the class.

In class, we have to wash and cut all the vegetables and fruits needed.

Even for beginners, the class is easy to follow, as instructions are clear and the ingredients are already sorted accordingly.

The highlight is in making the sauces, which are different for both cabbage kimchi and cucumber kimchi.

It also seems easy to replicate at home.

We get to bring home the kimchi we made which are quite a substantial amount!

Overall, they taste crunchy, slightly salty and not very spicy.
